Rihanna’s New Savage X Fenty Campaign

Known of course for its Legendary creator but also for its diverse models and non-traditional campaigns, Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty is one of fashion’s more inclusive and unconventional brands. Rihanna continued to surprise everyone when Savage x Fenty released its new campaign on Friday, August 30. The campaign featured the Caramel Curves: a New Orleans-based biker crew made up of all black and curvaceous women.

The Caramel Curves believe in combining strength with glamour as they make their mark by proudly riding motorcycles, a traditionally male-dominated activity, and looking fabulous while doing it. The all women group who are not only bikers but moms, businesswomen, and leaders in their communities where chosen by Rihanna for her new lingerie campaign because they show the world that women can be both badass and sexy.

In the campaign video, women from the Caramel Curves express contagious confidence as they rock sexy lingerie, fishnets, feminine gloves, and high heels while they ride their motorcycles. They also posed, talked a bit about New Orleans, their confidence, and what they love about their group. The video promotes female empowerment, shutting down the stereotype that motorcycle riding is for men only, and explains that women can do anything they put their minds to, all while looking good. The Caramel Curves love dressing in daring, sparkly fashion rather than looking basic, and Savage x Fenty is anything but basic, so this strong, fashionable group of bikers is perfect to represent Savage x Fenty.
