TOM FORD

Tom Ford’s NYFW SS22 show literally sparkled from beginning to the shows final close. While most designers save their most dazzling pieces for the final minutes and their closing walks To end on and insta worthy high note, Ford was daring and different from the beginning, open his show with a vibrant ensemble of pink, teal, an orange sequins . The beginning outfits featured color blocking. Although it is usually difficult to pull this style off, one of fashions masters did not produce an overbearing visualization at all, as Ford used just the right amount of the different hues to provide a fashionable contrast... with sparkle.

Other standout looks from the show were when models came out in black bra-style tops with shiny, colorful, loosely-fitted pants. These outfits would immediately turn heads at any nightclub or party. The combination of black and gold made an appearance in this show as well, which seems to be a recurring trend from this year’s fashion week. This sleek color combination looked stylish and flattering on the models’ bodies. Furthermore, there was some leather in this collection. While most people typically do not associate leather with spring or summer, those pieces were provocative enough to fit the vibe of these warmer seasons.

The accessories in this show were impressive as well. Some models wore shiny chokers, suggesting that this former trend may reappear soon, while other models wore layered chain necklaces for an edgy look. Glittery barrettes also added a glamorous touch to the models’ hairstyles. There were some sunglasses on the runway, which added to the spring/summer feel of the show.

As usual, Tom Ford delivered an excellent fashion show, as this show presented some of the trendiest and most eye-catching looks from this year’s fashion week. This presentation was one of the final shows of this season’s NYFW, and we could not have asked for a better ending to the fashion-filled week.
