At the young age of 24 Amir Taghi born as Persian American born in Texas he got his start showing his designs in Houston  at age 15 while he was still in high school. Now he has made a name for himself in New York with a beautiful collocation that recently happened at New York Fashion Week.He had the opportunity to intern at Oscar de la Renta this was in 2013 where he was able to work with him.Another internship he had was working for Proenza Schouler. He loved being able to work for this creative brand and stated he learned a lot.

As of 2018  his brand put out cohesive collections, while constructing made-to-order pieces for his most devoted customers and handcrafting wedding gowns. He has made a name for himself with sleek designs, a tight-knit connection to his clients, and a fresh point of view inspired by his background. “Because I’m Iranian, I like to pull a lot of inspiration from there, and that’s been something I focused on when I decided to bring back my brand,” he says. More of collection inspiration comes from dancing & rode, Western style inspired this collection. While creating the collection he said the pandemic has given us a space an time to identify who we are.The pandemic definitely has been difficult with sells have been declined based on a mix of affordability but also people aren’t as interested in buying into fantasy or Aspiration as much.

He also draws inspiration from the women around him and, of course, Houston. While discussing more about this brand what makes him different is that some designers design for the man to buy for the woman, and some designers design for the women” Taghi has kept busy, though. He created a line of face masks called The Mask Bar and mastered the virtual appointment. Before meeting with a client he sends them fabric swatches and a lookbook. From there it’s a chance for people to cultivate a relationship with a designer, Taghi says, and it gives clients insight into how the process works. He also launched “Talks with Taghi,” a Livestream series the medium for many during the pandemic that features all kinds of entrepreneurs, from designer Hunter Bell to DEFINE’s Henry Richardson. As for what’s next? Items in his fall collection are available for pre-order and he’s planning a small capsule collection for the resort and is also working on his spring 2022 collection. An exciting collab he is working on is one with Jimmy Choo that will be released in April. Just because he’s had to slow down doesn’t mean he’ll be hitting pause any time soon. “I don’t think I could ever fully stop,” he says. “I’m still creative, and I love what I do.”Check out www.amirtaghi.com to purchase his clothing.
